The risks and harms associated with methamphetamine and other drug use often extend beyond the person using the drug and can affect the lives and wellbeing of family and friends.

Having a person who uses methamphetamine or other drugs in the family can be a source of great stress, conflict and despair. All members of the family—parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, grandparents, partners and step-family members—can become involved in the situation.

This fact sheet outlines some strategies that may help if you have a family member who is using methamphetamine or other drugs.
