Alcohol is the most widely used psychoactive, or mood-changing, recreational drug in Australia and alcohol-related problems can be present in almost every workplace.

This fact sheet outlines some of the ways that alcohol can impact on a workplace and your rights and responsibilities as an employer. This fact sheet is only a guide and provides general information based on the Victorian Occupational Health and Safety Act (2004) (OHS Act).
